- New Function: Dismiss Student
- A Teacher will be able to remove students from the current class, allowing them to join other classrooms or to freely use their devices. To use this feature in a started class, select students, then choose Dismiss from class from the More menu in the selection toolbar.
- New Managed Policy setting for enabling a WebSocket PING mechanism to avoid WebRTC disconnections
- Some customers use network proxies that are set to cut “idle” WebSocket connections. Normally in such cases where this behavior cannot be reconfigured, Vision live view features and classes will disconnect after a short while. We have added the WebRTCPingIntervalDurationMs managed policy setting, enabling a WebSocket keep-alive mechanism which should prevent proxies from considering our connections as inactive. To make this work, admins should set the managed setting to a value in milliseconds, smaller but preferably close to their proxy timeout. The value cannot be smaller than 30 seconds. For more information, check out the user manual on how to deploy managed application settings.
